When was the last time you went to a comedy show? How about listened to some stand up comedy?

We all know laughter is good for us. It brightens our soul, charges our heart with fun and is the best way to connect with someone.

I don’t think I have to sell you too hard on comedy and how enjoyable it is but what I want to do here is remind you it’s around and share some ways you can listen to comedy to get you in a certain state.

I have always been a huge fan of comedy and I decided back in college that I would do my own stand up! It took me four months of gathering material, constantly writing down scenarios that might be funny and reading a book on how to write comedy until I finally did my first ever stand up for 3 minutes, years ago in college.

I’m going to show it to you here below but remember, this is a JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE!! 🙂

This was back in college so it’s a little rude, offensive and weird. But hey, that’s comedy.

Enjoy. Sorry about the crappy quality, was on my friends phone.

Yes that happened. Alright now that you’re done laughing at me I want to share with you some ways you can listen to comedy to get yourself in certain state.

What I mean by getting in state is that you put yourself in a fun mood by listening to comedy. You put yourself in an outgoing, extroverted mood. Introverts will totally get what I mean when I say get into an extroverted mood. You have to warm up and be in that state.

For me, I am more introvert, but for sure can bust out the extroversion especially now that am running my own business #selling, so what I always like to do is warm up before I go into social situations to get me in state and in a laughing fun mood.

To warm up, I will listen to comedy in the car, before friends come over or before I am about to go into selling anything to get my emotions going and into a fun mood.

You can find comedy on Pandora by searching for specific stand up comics and then do “add variety” and put whoever else you like to give you a big selection to listen to so you don’t hear the same sets over and over.

Places to find comedy:

  • Pandora
  • Youtube
  • Netflix
  • Google it to find a local venue if you want it live

Well hope you enjoyed my very inexperienced comedy stand up and are now motivated to listen to comedy and enjoy life more.

Have a good week,

Chaz
